Haven't worked on my pants-a-long because I've been frantically trying to get some of the stuff I've made into my Etsy shop. It was a headbanger of a day. The children in my daycare spent a lot of time crying and when I finally got everyone to sleep I had a hell of a time getting the computer to work so I could upload.
I really really want to make this Etsy shop work. Since my bakery, Ella Vanilla, became all but defunct I have had a huge urge to create. Of course, no money to get things started, but I have a lot of discarded jeans and beautiful dress shirts from my step-brother. So I've begun repurposing these items into sewing projects. My inspiration? Bags for Boys. I remember when my son was little and he was always sorting things into little bins and carrying them around. Even then I knew he needed little bags, but there was nothing that suited. Anyway, I started thinking about bags for boys back then but until Etsy was created there was really nowhere to sell it.
Now, I'm hoping to fill a store with all kinds of cool things for boys. If you have a son you already know that there isn't a lot of fun stuff in the boys clothing and accessory departments to make you want to shop. It's boring to shop for boys...right? I hope to change that.
